Gangadhar Patil, 32, is the founder of 101Reporters, a pan-India network of grassroots reporters. In 2017, he was elected as one of the Ashoka Fellows from India for his work at 101Reporters. He quit mainstream media in 2015 to pursue his interest in independent journalism by building a strong network of grassroots journalists. His last assignment was with India’s largest business daily, The Economic Times as Senior Correspondent mainly covering Taxation, Investigative agencies, and the Law Ministry. Prior to this, he worked with DNA, Mumbai and The New Indian Express, Chennai.
