Mike Rezendes is a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter for the Boston Globe Spotlight Team. In more than two decades with the Globe, he has worked as a reporter and editor covering presidential, state, and local politics. As a member of the Spotlight Team, he has played a key role in many of the Globe’s most significant investigations, including those probing the September 11 attacks, financial corruption in the nation’s charitable foundations, and abuses in the debt collection industry. In 2003, Mike shared a Pulitzer Prize for revealing the cover-up of sexual abuse in the Catholic Church; he is played by Mark Ruffalo in the movie Spotlight, which chronicles the Globe’s investigation of the Boston Archdiocese. He is a co-author of two books: Betrayal: The Crisis in the Catholic Church, and Sin Against the Innocents: Sexual Abuse by Priests and the Role of the Catholic Church.
