Biraj Patnaik is the executive director of the National Foundation for India. He was previously the South Asia director of Amnesty International and principal advisor to the Commissioners of the Supreme Court of India in the landmark ‘right to food’ case. A well-known human rights activist, he has been part of many national and global campaigns. Biraj cofounded the Mitanin community health worker programme that trained and deployed 70,000 health workers in Chhattisgarh.
