Chitranshu Tewari

Chitranshu is the Product and Revenue Director at Newslaundry. In the organisation's 10-year-old path to disrupt the news media ecosystem, he has led its growth from a few hundred subscribers to a community of more than 50,000 paying readers. For the last seven years, he has led teams that have built and scaled Newslaundry’s business, tech, events and audience engagement.

He has shipped products – ranging from apps, and websites to native podcast players – and his work has brought new ideas and innovations to both content and revenue. He conceptualised award-winning programs like Campus Politik and helped design revenue streams like NL Sena – a crowdfunding project for long-form stories

His work has been recognised by international awards and honours, including the World Youth Summit Award by the United Nations GAID, the Laadli Media Award and an honourable mention at the INMA Global Media Awards 2023. In 2022, he was listed in the ‘30 under 30’ global list of media professionals by the International News Media Association and selected for the GNI-Columbia University’s Newsroom Leadership Program.
