Samrat Choudhury

Samrat Choudhury is a journalist and author. A former editor of mainstream daily newspapers in India’s major metropolises (Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru), he now divides his time between Kolkata and Manila. He was also a columnist for The Hindustan Times, DNA and Firstpost at different times, and has written extensively for Newslaundry, which remains one of his favourite publications. Samrat’s first novel, The Urban Jungle, was published by Penguin Books in 2011, and nominated for the Man Asian Literary Prize.
